If my PS2 wasn't subject to Electronics Boutique's two year warrant plan I'd have it chipped and be running a couple of those in a heartbeat.

Oh, and since the PS2 has USB, it's compatible with almost any HID-compilant game controller afaik so you're not just limited to keyboards and mice, USB joysticks should work just as well too.

wow, a console with a mouse and keyboard... why not call it a PC then?

Umm, I've always used a mouse to fly missions with.  I've tried a joystick a couple of times and I find that it's too unresponsive compared to a mouse with the sensitivity turned all the way up.
