been tinkering with this for a while, it's my interpetation of what Vasuda should have looked like before the lucifer decimated it.

attached are three pictures and quick video clip of it rotateing (note I tried putting some clouds over it in the places I thought there should be, it didn't turn out very well but it's on a seperate texture)
first pic shows the central plains. the second pic shows the great salt plains, a nearly lifeless 5000 mile long flat dry hot salt. and the third shows the northern seas, the most fertile place on the planet and home to the forbearers of modern Vasudan civilisation.

the surface is mostly desert and rock, there are five major mountan rainges, and there are two small sea systems (a total of five seas) one in the north consisting of three interconected bodies, and two in the south. the southern seas are consiterabley larger than the northern ones, and on the west and especaly east coasts are large salt plains caused by the sea's slow disapearence as water becomes more scarce (the planet was one a nicer place to live). as you probly noticed already the water does not look like the oceans of earth, a combination of higher mineral content a diferent atmospheric makeup and high salinity make the watter seem dark red rather than the calming blue were all used to. the water is briny beond anything we would be used to oftine near saturation, though the sea organisms have adapted to this, most land animals have to make due with the extreemly meager seasonal rains or tap into deep aquifers to get at fresh water. the only reagons wich get enoughrain to sustain substantial plant life are to the east of the northern seas and the west of the southern ones. the montans and seas all lie on tectonic plate bounderies, all Vasudan seas tend to be mostly shallow but have a deep narrow treanch running through them allong tectonic subduction zones

Vasudans origonated from the north, most of there major cities were build near extreemly high mountans with icecaps or extreem polar reagons were ice could be mined through the year. polar cities tend to be rich in water but poor in everything ese, due to the six month night agraculture is imposable and these cities are dependent upontrade for survial.

ok I'm very sleepy and my keyboard keeps fuxing up so I'll just post this now...
