Problems with conversion! PCS? Modelviw?
The srangeset thing.
I converted dozens of models so far, but there are two that keep sprouting up problems.

I beliveit's due to the large number of turrets (multi-part turrets to be exact: Paladin 15, Iowa 22)

It converts fine, and I edit them in PCS normally. In modelview, the places (fire points) of some large turrets are misplaced, or switched with some other.

I double checked the obj, and all turrets are correctly named, even their lights...

I don't know where the problem is!
Could be the PCS or the modelview (but I do belive it's PCS, since it screws the auto turreting part allso - i.e. - if you have turet01 to turret34 he will automaticly put them as turrets in the correct order - in this case it mixes the order here a bit - like putting TurretMain03 or Detail2 right after turret04)

Has anyone hada similar problem?

What version of PCS are you running, 1.34? I've encountered all sorts of problems before I figured out its was my naming errors in truespace. In regards to modelview, I've never been able to edit any model since alll my models are over 5k. I've grown accustomed to PCS as the pof editor.

I don't edit my models in modelview.. I just look at my model there to see where the subsystems/tuurets/engines are..

PCS 1.34, Build 68

It's extreemly strange.... I really don't know what to do...

Couldn't you do that in pcs? Its renderer is descent now. Post a picture of your hierarchy, maybe someone could spot a trouble zone.

Why have you called your turrets TurretMain, TurretMed and TurretMM? Why not just Turret01a  to Turret86?

Becouse I want to be able to tell them apart when I see them.
That way one can easily equipp turets in FRED.

turret01 - 99...ect..are laser/flak/aaaf
TurretB01 - 99 are beam turrets
TurretMain01- 99 are Big ass multi-part turrets
TurretM01 -99 are stationary missile turrets
TuretMM01 - 99 are multi-part missile turrets..
Simple, no?

And there are turret 01 to 42 infornt of those, but you can't see them on that pic..

Can't see how that can be a problem.
I add all the turrets that are named other than turretxx manually.
And it's a name only. even a V model had such names (TurretMainxx...I know I saw i somewhere...I think on a Demon)

V models had several differences that don't seem to work if you try to convert them back because they were converted with different tools from the ones we use.  

I find going by community mods a much better guide to what is and isn't possible

For some odd reason I find that turrets not made by PCS's auto turret feature doesn't seem to work, even when I put the firing points in and the $subsystem info. What you are doing there 'might' work if you named the lights for them TurretMain01-fp01 etc as firepoints?
