Is a very good game.  Hard to describe, so try the demo from
http://www.trackmania.com/indexUk.php

And it may be only a low profile game, but it deserves a bit of success IMHO.

Saw this the other day and ALMOST picked it up out of the blue (something I never do) simply for the striking resemblance to Geoff Crammonds Stunt Car Racer, what does it play like?
What frequency are you getting? Is it noise or sweet sweet music? - Refused - Liberation Frequency.

It's really hard to describe..... um, the track buildy bits reminded me a bit of a much better Motorcross madness.... as for the race bits, there's 3 types - the snowy one requires no brakes and involved screaming along the bare edges of big raised roads in a 4x4.  The desert thing is basically an american 'powercar', so you have to break to take turns, and the thing bounces like mad(which is ace).  And the rally bit puts you in charge of a mini which goes about mach 1.... it's insanely fast.

Basically, it's break neck arcade racing (albeit only against yourself - i.e. time trials)... reminds me a bit of a speeded up mario kart time trial corssed with Top Gear Rally on the N64.

But in all honesty, it is literally impossible to give a description.... best advice is try the demo, albeit the car they give you handles nowhere near as well (i.e. fun) as it's equivalent in the game.

I gave the demo a go, seems pretty fun, one to look out for when I'm done with this huge stack of games I'm playing at the moment.
