OK i have WINXP Home and underground just wont start. I start the game, screen goes back and then after a while it busts me back to desktop. I updated windows, all the drivers, everything. Still doesnt work. My hardware:

Radeon 9000 pro
256 MB RAM
Sound Blaster live player 1024
P4 2,4 GHZ
 and Latest direct x

I even changed back to the crappy Ge force 420MX and updated that one as well and still it doesn't work

What is really odd is that when i installed WIN 98 SE later and just installed DX and soundcard and videocard drivers, it worked like a charm. I don't wanna hear: Go back to win 98 se   because that OS sucks big time.

Anyone having these issues? Please help, because I really wanna play this on XP

BTW I have no problems with Hot pursuit 2 and thats an older game.

The problem can't be the OS...

I've just finished playing that game in XP so...
Go to the 3D Setup thingy and see if it detects your card, see if you have the latest patch, etc, etc, etc....
If that doesn't help, go here, because this is the proper place to ask this kind of questions, no offense...

iv talked to some ppl who have had the same problems..... do you have the right patch?  there are a bunch of patches for diff. geografical areas; u need to get the right 1 or it wont work......
