If you think they're doing great work, well and good. I think so too. If you think you need to criticise my interest in something other than eyecandy and minor tweaking, not so good.

Learn how to A) use search and B) think before you post.

:wtf:

I don't care what you are or are not interested in.  I do care that you seem to find it necessary to belittle the work done by the SCP team as merely 'eyecandy and minor tweaking.'  It's obvious that you A) Do care what the SCP does, despite your protestations to the contrary and B) Don't have a sniff of how hard coding is.

Like I said before, if the SCP project doesn't interest you, post elsewhere, but don't attack the work that the SCP'ers are doing as 'minor.'

Jesus. You can't read, can you?

Yes, I'm interested, and have been since the inception of the project. If you would use the search functionality of the forum, you might be able to see that you are speaking from a position of abject ignorance. Further, I am not belittling the work the SCP team has done. They've done a very good job. However, what they have primarily worked on, does not interest me (eye candy and handling tweaks). What does interest me is serious systems overhauls and changes, like the sporadic conversations involving changes to the POF system. Finally, given that I spent my entire bloody day coding, I think I have a 'sniff' of how hard it is. Had you used a search to see what I do and do not say and what I am or am not interested in, you would have seen that I have indeed pointed out just how hard difficult coding is, especially with regards to changing a foreign codebase.

If you consider criticism, especially the mild sort I employed, as an attack, you'll not long survive in any online community.

Oh, and I'll post anywhere I bloody well please, until such time as someone else, say Icefire or Bob or Phreak or Kaz ask me to post elsewhere. I think pretty much everyone, with the sole exception of one overly defensive ****wit, knows where I stand with regards to the projects here at HLP.

Should you be in any further doubt, or feel like continuing to piss and moan on the topic, I invite you to use PMs and not waste my screen space in this or any other forum.
