Thanx HLP for yesterday!
Seriously guys, thanks for making April Fools so damn funny.  I really needed it yesterday, and to be quite honest, my time at this website yesterday was the only time I really smiled or laughed this week.

This week has been the worst for me.  On Sunday I get a call from my mom that my cousins fiance died in a freak accident.  He was a really good kid, although I only knew him briefly.  Monday I get a call that my grandmother had a severe massive stroke and is paralyzed on her left side of her body.  This woman practically helped raise me when I was little.  The week had been full of talk that she may need a feeding tube to eat (which we found out yesterday that she may not have to), that she may not last the month (which with each day those chances are improving), that she'll be paralyzed until she passes (this is probably true though :(

To add to all this, I had to go to a business trip on Tuesday and Wednesday that I couldn't get out of.

So yesterday was the one day that brought a smile.  Thanks guys :)

I must say that personally, one of the things I find most satisfying is making someone smile. So thank YOU for the "thank you". ;)

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

Indeed, sorry to hear the bad news dude. But I'm overjoyed that this place can bring a bit of light to your life. I know it does for me - there's nothing like a few great companions to have a laugh with, you know. :)
