Thats actually a good idea. Plant one in every politician, so that they're actually accountable to someone.

Sub Dermal Explosives as working incentive
I can't remember the title, but there was this short (sci-fi) story about some utopian planet where the protagonist went. after being there for a while, he was asked to become the president of the planet, and he agreed to it. so then when the old president put the protagonist in charge, the old presidents head exploded due to explosives. see, anyone on the planet that was unhappy with his rule could just go press a button... direct democracy through explosives, I guess. it might have been called "ticket to utopia" or something along those lines.

oh, and the link doesn't want to work, so I just guessed what the article was about.

it was about a slight error in speech by some CEO.

Sun has a 'depth charge' under every body

Sun Microsystems has turned to very drastic measures to inspire worker productivity at the company, according to a CRN interview.

Sun recently fired 3,500 workers and made a series of changes within its executive ranks. But, if anyone inside Sun thought their job was safe for now, CEO Scott McNealy has delivered a shocking message.

We're sure McNealy really meant a "depth chart" on every job within the company. Sun, however, is know for being ahead of the curve in a number of areas, including workforce practices. Sun often talks about cutting back on the number of offices provided to employees, encouraging staffers to work at home or to use their Java cards to log into any desktop on Sun campuses. Perhaps the new "explosives as encouragement" policy just builds on this tradition. ®
