Hey all. Me again with another simple question to keep you on your toes.

I'm using regular retail Freespace 2 and FRED2. I have three missions to put into my campaign, and I've done them. The campaign is saved as a .fc2 file.

However, Freespace 2 doesn't seem to want to find this. When I go in to load it up, into the Campaign Missions section, it only finds the FreeSpace2.fc2 file, and not mine.

I have saved it in the right place (c:\games\freespace2\data\missions) and it picks up the regular stand-alone levels fine.

Anyone able to offer a small amount of help in pointing me in the right direction?

Switch to it in the Campaigns screen (click the big holographic map thingy). Then you have to finish it before you can play them as solo missions.

No, I'm already at the screen where you're supposed to choose your campaign. My campaign isn't listed.

Ah....

Try creating a new pilot. There's sometimes problems using old pilots for new campaigns (particularly if they use mods).

Nope, that doesn't seem to have done the trick.

I'm sure it must be something damn easy. I also extracted the original Freespace2.fc2 and renamed it, it didn't pick that up.

It still sounds like you're trying to start the campaign from the tech room to me. You pick campaigns from the campaign room.

You should never actually see the name of the campaign file in-game. Only the name you gave the campaign in FRED.

I have been trying to start from the tech room. I just found the option (doing this campaign as my coursework is my first time using Freespace 2).

I didn't know the big screen of death could do that!
