While we're on the subject (don't want to make additional thread, there are enough as it is), it also appears that a US marine previously thought to have been beheaded is in fact alive, safe and sound in Beirut.

and now there are more strange details coming to light, leading to the possibility that this was all staged, because he wanted to go home but could not do it by regular means.

He's supposedly alive in Beriut, but last I heard on the news, they can't find him or sommat...

Wonder what they told him he had to do for his freedom? Wonder who they may have that he cares for? I wonder if this person was "briefed" elsewhere?

Im sorry they dont just let americans go in the middle east guys, it just doesnt happen. If he was indeed captured, he either escaped or bartered for his freedom or is being used for something we have no knowledge of at this time.

Im very interested to hear the stories as to how he is free.
