Just Downloaded the cutscenes in .avi format from Game-Warden, and placed them in the main Freespace 2 folder.  Whenever I start the game, the intro cutscene is squashed into the top corner of the screen.

Any ideas?

Isn't the Disable-Scale-To-Window for movies option in the launcher designed to solve this problem?

If not redmenace is correct this is a problem caused by Divx 6. The SCP will have to fix it eventually though. We can't keep telling everyone to run a lower version of Divx forever.

No, the Disable-Scale-To-Window flag doesn't solve this problem; at least, it didn't work for me.  I do hope that some workaround can be found for this eventually; I really don't want to install a downgraded version of Divx, so I'm stuck with very small movies for the time being.

I can't seem to get cutscenes to work at all; I downloaded the .avi cutscenes for the FS1port, and presumably I have all the original cutscenes from my FS2 install.  Will fs2_open read the original cutscene files as well?   What do I need to do to get these cutscenes working properly?  (The originals work fine if I launch using FS2.exe)

1) MVE Cutscenes won't work with FS2_Open.

2) 3.6.5 had a bug in it and won't work with cutscenes either.

3) Any other build from the recent builds forum will play .avi cutscenes.

4) To get the FS1Port to work properly you should place it in it's own folder (call it FS1Port) inside the Freespace 2 folder. Place all the FS1 avi movies inside that folder too and make sure that the intro is actually called intro.avi.  Run the mod using the select mod button in the launcher.

Just an update:  I just had one of the FS1 cutscenes play at the normal size while playing through the FSPort.  The intro, first Ancients monologue, and the lab cutscene were all in the upper-left position, but the command briefing cutscene played normally.  To the best of my knowledge, I didn't change a single setting that would have affected the playback.  Chalk it up to randomness, I guess.

That's pretty odd. If it had been halfight and intro that had worked I'd have chalked it up to the fact that I didn't actually convert those two (I believe Sandwich was responsible for them). But at the moment it looks like a mixture of both are screwing up.
