Labour is the opposition, but since the Howard government already supports the FTA, then essentially this means that it ceases to be an election issue, and whatever happens when we do go to the polls, this is inevitable.
Frankly, I kinda saw it coming. Even if Latham did oppose it, I expect Howard will push it through before the election anyway. I'm personally opposed, especially to this aspect of it, but the government seems to have stopped listening to the people. Ah well - Labour's still the better choice - they'll theoretically prevent any further bull**** from Howards higher education "reforms" ie. raping normal Aussie students in favour of internationals or local rich buggers who can afford to pay full and massively increased fees, pull most of the troops out of Iraq, and generally run the country better. Slightly anyway.
