Three things continue to crop up at random intervals whenever I play the SCP:
1) My graphics card flickers the HUD every so often. NO, this is NOT an EMP field, don't say it. I mean the various little .ani's used to make up the HUD are sometimes rendered as large triangles for fractions of a second (as though the card is confused whether to do the HUD ANI's on the HUD or affecting the outside of the ship). This never happened in retail, and it makes me dizzy to watch my HUD go crazy like that.
2) Occasionally when playing, some ships will have an unterminated gray-black rectangle stretching off horizontally to infinity. This has happened on Typhons, the new Fenris, an Isis, and a few other things, but it never happens consistently, or with any one type of model (new-HTL or old-style).
3) Occasionally some ships will have undefined black polies that shift and grow juuust the right way to stretch from their parent model to black out a triangle-shaped chunk of your cockpit view (the HUD still shows tho). It shifted as I turned, but eventually disappeared when I moved around enough. (I think the "fill-in-the-blanks" function of the engine, for nonplanar polies, is to blame, but I dunno too much about graphics engines so it's just a guess.)
My specs:
Athlon XP1700+
Radeon 7500 PCI (64MB) (so sue me, the compy was cheap, the lack of AGP was a minor technicality.)
WinXP
640MB of RAM and plenty (gigs) of free disk space on both C and F drives.
I play with KB+Mouse, if that matters, tho I doubt it.
