Very creative. I like it. Will you make it open to the public once you finish it?

Looks like it, doesn't it? :p

Nice effort Bob - it does have the hideous coolness about it that malevolent craft should emanate.

Kinda gives me the thought "What if the Shivans decided to produce designs to counter GTVA craft?"
All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by.
And a laughing yarn from a merry fellow rover.
And a quiet sleep and a sweet dream when the long trick's over.

I don't like it. It's not shivan.

Doesnt have that Shivan vibe, at least no to me.  I see Shivan fighters / bombers as relatively flat, sharp and angular (often with 'arms' of some variety), that seems...well.... a bit too blobby for my tastes.

No, it's definately shivan if it has to be out of the FS2 races.  Vasudan designs aren't a catch-all, and although this thing could look vasudanish with a vasudan map, it would still look like a derivative of something else.  The reason everyone jumps Vasudan with it is because the only other vertically-oriented strike craft design in the FS universe is the Vasudan superiority fighter in BWO, which is very unconventional in and of itself.

So bob, it looks good.  It does feel more bomber-like than fighter-like though.

The shape, the textures, and the feel to it prevent it from being shivan. It's a pretty nice model, but IMHO lacks the shivan look.

well consitering it doesn't have textures, and I'm still not quite done with the shape, it needs more hard edges, and a few 30 degree angles on it in the main body, there are a lot of interesting geometric properties to a lot of the shivan ships, such as prominant equelateral triangles

Far toooooo many polygons. The half of them is enough. :p

It looks too massive for a fighter to me too, one thing it might be is like a super-heavy shivan fighter. Like something with a light beam in it for swarming warships and blowing them up good.

I think the texture job is fine. People keep saying it's not shivan because shivans are always black and red, but apparently none of them have seen the Mephisto or the Asmodeus lately.

yeah, I'm useing a tried and true method here, when in doubt add more polys.

look there is no texture job here, it isn't textured at all, I just grabed a nice dark looking procedural with some jaggad bits in it and appyed it exept for the engine parts.

the geometry of this thing is too complex to get a realy good shot of it
this is what I've got now.
I think most of it is comeing along nicely, but I'm not sure what the hell I'm doing with the lower front section.

If you want to make it shivan, either rotate it 90° around its z-axis, or add long wings - shivan ships are generally long, flat, and spiky.

It's way to short, symetrical, and vertical.
