Please explain: Who does not any post-3.6 versions work?
I am facing a problem I will regret having in the future. As a staffer in two projects I am requested to be able to run the newest builds of FreeSpace Open. My real problem is that the most recent version that works for me is the first(official) release of the 3.6 version.
Do I have to add anything special to my files to make the newer builds run?
Each version has a different error which makes me impossible to run it. For instance, one immediatly does CTD after I press Run in the launcher, while another one crashes at the main loading screen.

I already announced my retirement twice, yet here I am. If I bring up that topic again, don't believe a word.

Please give a more detailed accounting of you issue. We can do nothing with a generic "it's broken" report.

There is a litany of questions we ask: which builds, specificially, what are the specific errors (if any), what flags are you using, what are you system specs, etc, etc, etc.

Look at any "it's broken" thread for examples of the kinds of information we need to help you.
