I made some models for the Stafox mod. My problem is the align gets screwed as soon as I convert them to *.pof.

Killfrenzy fixed it for me by using some button in Truespace.

What I whant to know is: How can I lock the align in Max or Lith?

I would assume you're refering to the object center.  In truespace, the center is defined by an independent axis, that you can mode independently of the model.  In Max, the only way to fix the alignment is to move the object to 0,0,0 and then select all of its faces and move them where you want them.

Wait. How are you converting these models? In MAX? Or are you converting 3ds to cob and doing it via Truespace...?

I'm using Max to create the model. Then I use Lith+Photoshop for texturing ->*.cob . After this I use the POF Construcktor Suite for the *.pof conversion.

Ahh. In TS, you can use the axis tool to reset the axis to the center of the object, or move it around wo where you want it, so you could have the (sub)object rotate around the axis, and not the center of the model...

I'm not going to reread thiat to see if it made sense, so, if it doesn't. ho-well. :p

But I don't want to install TS only for this minor job.

There has to be a way to do in MAX.

There should be no way to get it from cob to Pof without taking it through Truespace.  Unless you're constructing a single-object craft, which goes against all intentions of LODs, not to mention debris and (if applicable) little details like the thruster cones.  That said, I've already said how to fix it; move the object to 0,0,0, select all of its faces simultaneously, and move them to the point that the ship is in the correct place.

Well, it does need LOD...
No debris though. To be more precise it's a mountain. ;)
I think I'm allowed to say that much.

And to be honest. I have no clue about how to use lod. :(
I am a 2d guy, more or less.
