the thing with Ashcroft was, is, he's a Bible Thumper extrordinare. He's even more of a Christian fundamentalist than Bush.

Somehow I doubt he'll do anything to challenge things liike the illegal detentions at Gitmo, PATRIOT etc...

Of course all the conservatives are "****ting themselves" in public over it. That way it looks like Bushy is appealing to the liberal supporters in the country by bringing in someone who then appears to not to be one of them.
