(I guess this could be in the SCP too.)

When I start on a new new mission or whatever I can't get the Messages and Mission goals in the Event section to work.

So I'm trying to do a send-message-list once Beta wing arrives.

So it will be

Event Name
-when
----has arrived delay
--------0
--------Beta
----Do Nothing

So I right click on Do Nothing, go to Replace Order, then Change but 'Messages and Mission Goals' is greyed out.

For the record, I'm using Fred 3.5.5 with Goober's latest builds. And I didn't have this problem until I installed the zpack. (And I'm not sure if that could interfere).

check, do you have any messages in the message box first? If not, then it will be greyed out. Do you ahve any mission goals yet as well? If not, then it will explain the problem quite nicely

That's a crazy idea but it might just work.......

I don't know how you done it but you must truely be blessed by the god of FRED2.

On a comment on this matter: I fell into the same mistake once while playing Star Wars: Rebellion. I wondered why I could not assign Ackbar as an Admiral. It took me minutes to realize I had no fleet he could command.
