Taylor: What's New In This?
Hey Taylor, I see you have a new build up here.  Are there any cool goodies included in this build we can drool over?

Good God man, that thing wasn't uploaded two hours before your post!  Do you just keep a watch on my testing directory or what! ;)

That build was just for Lightspeed to test but only has a minor change over the 3.6.5 beta (the newer one that's public, not the old private one).  There was a problem with the multiplayer mission "Breaking the Seal" which would trigger the texture corruption bug.  This is actually a problem with the mission having too many ships in it and going over a subsystem limit.  The mission needs 313 but the max is 300 in FSO and 250 in retail so the mission should never have worked correctly.  I increased the max in that build to 325 so that he could make sure that was the only cause of the texture corruption.  Also added was a new Verify() check so that release builds can produce an error message if the limit gets hit rather than all kinds or memory getting written over.

Hah!  I think he has picked up on ever single non-public build I've posted.  I was getting ready to upload to a non-browsable place on the server but was actually curious how long it would take him to notice a new build in testing so I just put it there.  Didn't take long!

I got a real good laugh out of it until I realized that I will forever have to announce all builds to avoid the "Hey Taylor, what's new in..." threads. ;)

Actually... YES.  Whenever a new build is posted, I always make an attempt to bookmark the web directory it came from.  However, if a web directory is not available, I'm outta luck.  Bobbeau for example, IIRC post his under the BWO host, but if I just delete the URL back to the last "/" it just takes me to the BWO frontpage.  I also tried to bookmark the directory that the 365 beta was in, but it refused the location so I was outta luck there.  Your "testing" and "willrobinson" directories are in my bookmarks, as are the "exes" and its "latest" subdirectory in the fs2source warpcore host.  The "latest" one is were Goober posts his new builds.  When I see a new build in any of these directories, I grab it, then proceed here to see if its creator has announced any features or bugfixes to said build.  If not, I "inquire".

Later!
