Got TBP3 but a No Go...
I'm glad that I have finally gotten around to downloading TBP3. The first two I thoroughly enjoyed. However after installing TBP3,  it gives me some...errors. Compared to the system req I'm high end, so I'm not worried about that part...but it did not seem to install the registry (nothing in the registry tab).
In CUSTOM FLAGS there is nothing and I have to manually put in what is required...
I fill out everything else that I am sure is within my hardware capability, and I get the following after I hit APPLY:

error 1
FAILED TO SET COMMAND LINE OPTIONS

error 2
FAILED TO SET MOD COMMAND LINE OPTION

error 3 (with white X in red circle)
FAILED TO SET AN IMPORTANT REGISTRY ENTRY

Has this happened before?
I'm asking you people because since you put it together, you would have better idea of what my problem possibly is.

First time I see anything like this.
From the errors it looks like you can't do any modifications to system registry.

What operating system you've got? Do you use an user account with admin rights?

My OS is Win XP. And no, I do not have an account with admin rights. I just now made this one so I could come here for help.
This only forum I've found where TBP is spoken of in some form of detail (for obvious reasons).

I reninstalled twice, and still the same problem. Maybe the FILEPLANET download forgot to include the registry?

I did not mean your forum user account, I meant the account you use to use Windows.

Windows XP Home has basically two types of user accounts; admins and limited users. XP Pro has a few more such as power user.

So which is it? Is your Windows user account an admin or a limited user or something else?
Because it seems your user accounts does not have the rights to modify certain parts of the system registry.

Oh....

I got XP Professional....
The account I'm on at present is limited...

However I do have an admin account...
I can check using it real quick and see if that solves my problem....
If not I'll be back...

Hehe, glad to be of help. Just to make sure, please run the installer again and uncheck core installation. It should install only the default TBP registry settings.

When I switched over to ADMIN account...the REGISTRY tab showed everthing...
I'm still used to be able to change things without switching accounts...

I hit run and it immediatley took me to the main menue...now just have to install EMW and download the raiders campaign and the rest. Thanks for the help. If you hadn't mentioned the admin acount thing, I probably would have never thought to check myself.

Quite a lot of softwares and games require admin rights during installation, some even when using them. You've been quite lucky it seems.

You can also use "run as" to run single files with admin rights. Right click on the file and select run as.

Then you should download the "Convoy Party" mission!
There you can fly a Nial.
And if that doesn't tell you something (which would mean, you are no B5 fan) that ship has fighterbeams.
