Awesome... or beter yet - fantastic!
But there's no Galactus!?!?!!!

Ok, after having watched the trailer...meh.

What's with all the electricity that Victor's throwing around?  His armor has many features but I don't remember it's primary armament being an electron field generator, I though it was the Doom Blasters?  Also, the only person in Marvel that is more feared than Magneto is Doom, he is a megalomanical genius second only to Reed Richards with access to untold levels of technology and he's also a Sorcerer of no small talent, I saw none of this in that trailer.

Yeah, Punisher was quite good, but in my mind it wasn't a superhero movie.
SERIOUSLY...! | {The Sandvich Bar} - Rhino-FS2 Tutorial | CapShip Turret Upgrade | The Complete FS2 Ship List | System Background Package

"...The quintessential quality of our age is that of dreams coming true. Just think of it. For centuries we have dreamt of flying; recently we made that come true: we have always hankered for speed; now we have speeds greater than we can stand: we wanted to speak to far parts of the Earth; we can: we wanted to explore the sea bottom; we have: and so  on, and so on: and, too, we wanted the power to smash our enemies utterly; we have it. If we had truly wanted peace, we should have had that as well. But true peace has never been one of the genuine dreams - we have got little further than preaching against war in order to appease our consciences. The truly wishful dreams, the many-minded dreams are now irresistible - they become facts." - 'The Outward Urge' by John Wyndham

"The very essence of tolerance rests on the fact that we have to be intolerant of intolerance. Stretching right back to Kant, through the Frankfurt School and up to today, liberalism means that we can do anything we like as long as we don't hurt others. This means that if we are tolerant of others' intolerance - especially when that intolerance is a call for genocide - then all we are doing is allowing that intolerance to flourish, and allowing the violence that will spring from that intolerance to continue unabated." - Bren Carlill

No, it wasn't. That's probably the reason why it's one of few comic based movies I actually like. ;)

The Punisher has never been a hero of any kind.  At best he's a man pushed too far who pushed back, but he should've stopped when he killed the buggers who killed his family.  Somewhere along the line however, he started to like killing, whether he admits it or not he's as much a sadistic killer as the mafia folk he wipes out in every comic.  The rest of the Heroes in NY need to put the thump down on him, with Cappy right at the front.

Bah, as a trailer it shows you only the best scenes, not the other bad ones, as usual :doubt:

What exactly would be the point of a trailer showing all the crappy scenes?

Anyway, I reckon it'll be passable at least, I'll probably go see it.

After I saw that the man playing the Punisher looked like...like a ballerina trying to act like a hitman, I didn't bother.

Go read the Marvel MAX* Punisher series (erm, PM me if you want to "get your hands on it"), THATS what the Punisher is supposed to be. Not some angsty...guy. My vocabulary is busted or something today, I can't seem to put together a cohesive sentence.

*(adult as in extremely violent not Hentai I would assume?  Although the idea of the Punisher using a tentacle demon to molest his targets before he caps them is kinda humorous.)

No, not Hentai in the least. But it is very adult.  However I think it works perfectly, and the art style is also very appropriate.

AFAIK, all the Marvel MAX comics are done by the same writer/artist crew (Garth Ennis writing, I don't know who's drawing). They come in nice 6 comic story lines, which I also love. Basically, its all the Marvel badasses with the kiddy gloves taken off (Nick Fury for example).

I would reccomend it to anyone even remotely interested in comics. Granted, its not going to change your life or anything, but it is a nice alternative to spandex-clad do-gooders.

The problem is that the best scenes are usually a) the ones at the finale and b) when the big plot twists are revealed.

Or c) cut

Well, I'll probably enjoy it. :)

Thing is, there are those who have read a lot of FF, and for them, the crew have features and voices and attitudes that can't be imitated. Marvel helped make the movie, and yet I see Ben Grimm and think 'Baked Earth, not Melted Mud Dammit!'.

That said, it'll probs be a good movie :)

When I think of Doc Doom, I think more along the line of "The Phantom" from LXG doing his best germanic accent, not Cole from Charmed.  Also, it was revealed a while ago that Doom is indeed horribly scarred under his armor.
