Right I haven't tested this with any other campaigns cause they've been crashing on me due to the music.vp bug, which I've just beem setting up the work arounds for, but the Leviathan model isn't showing up at all.

I only see the engine glow. Theres no problem with the cain, I've tried both the stock aseffects.vp and Karajormas workaround and neither seem to fix it. I checked the vps with Quick VP (thank you SabrWolf) and the ships.tbl points to cruiser01x.pof.

I thought, 'grand, this is just the problem reported earlier, Ill use Karajormas fix', but I checked and the model is there, and as stated the fix doesn't seem to resolve this.

Is it just the textures missing? And would it simply be a case of changing it to point to cruiser01.pof?

Does anyone have Lightspeeds texture for JUST the Leviathan. I'm holding out on downloading till everythings done.

It is 4am so it very possible I've made a mistake. I'll check again tomorrow but until then comments are welcome.

I didn't want to touch this cause apparently WMCoolmon was uploading new versions of the media.vp files and once they were in use this problem would hopefully go away.

Seems to be taking a while for all the files to upload so...

I was, but then my computer BSOD'd and I've been getting errors with loading the Perseus' geometry.

I'd say to make sure that cruiser01x.pof is in your FS2 data directory, or set it to be cruiser01.pof instead. (Modular tables should really have been used...)

Edit: Except that would probably go over the ship limits...

Cool thanks for that Karajorma. Don't have time to test it but I had a quick look with QuickVP.

Whats the cruiser03x.pof? That the Lilith? And cruiser01x.pof is the Leviathan?

WMC: cruiser01x.pof was definately in one of the vps when I had this problem, but like I said I'll test it thouroughly  soon as I get the chance.

I've slightly changed the files around. If you haven't downloaded them yet take a look at this thread for more details. The file you have will work fine but the files on that thread will work without requiring you to use the high poly leviathan model.

Um.

The STL tables use the Port's Leviathan reskin - that is, cruiser01b.pof.

If you have BR_STL.vp and fsport2_3.vp in your root FS2 folder, no tables in your data folder and no VPs that come before "BR_STL" in the alphabet, then you shouldn't be having any problems (as far as my knowledge extends, at any rate).

That's a point.

 Probably best to run a search for *.tbl and see if there is anything in your main folder or in data or one of it's subfolders that shouldn't be there.

Groan... I really don't get why its doing this. I've got in my base FS2 dir, mv_core, mv_zpack (music folder and music.tbl deleted) mv_adveffects, mv_aseffects AND Kara's workaround and I'm STILL not seeing a Leviathan model.

I've even changed the mv_core tables to point to the cruiser01x.pof with no difference and then I set the mv_core and mv_aseffects to point to cruiser01.pof, then model used for the Leviathan and still no change. But the Fenris is fine! Its the high poly one and everything.

I don't have a clue whats going on here. Is this a pilot issue or does it require a reset. Could FS somehow be remembering the old settings? Grasping at straws here. Should I just get rid of as_effects completely?

Not getting any music either in Shrouding the Light, and I'm using the MOD option in the launcher. But then I switched to Renegade Ressurgence, again with the MOD option and that has music. (It also crashes out for unexplained reasons in the missions where the hecate attacks the arcadia in the aldebaran system just as the hecate is about to fire).

Haven't tried Karamajora's low poly option again getting too tired.

Would using the MOD option overwrite your vps? But it should treat them with priority as they're in the MOD folder and then go to the media vps in the base FS2 dir. ?

One more thing. When I ran renengade resurgence both the fenris and the leviathan displayed only as strange semicomplete wireframes in the tech room. This was when they both pointed to cruiser01.pof.
