A Fred-Bug or a TBl-Error ??
Hello,

I have a short question :

Fred refuses to save it, when I change the secondary loadout of enemy ships in the ships.editor. (I can select it, but after saving it is gone and set to the default again )

But I'm not sure this is a tbl-error or an FRED-Issue, maybe someone around here can give me a hint.

I'm using Fred2_Open 3.6.5, and the ships.tbl entry of the enemy looks like this :

$Default PBanks:        ( "Neutron" )
$Default SBanks:        ( "Dart Dumbfire" )

Is it maybe possible, that you have to give enemies also "allowed secondary banks" ? Though that isn't done in FS retail either.

FRED error. I had that problem all the time. Really annoying. On Mantis, taylor said he fixed it, but there hasn't been a new FRED build in forever, so none of the builds have the fix yet.

So in the meantime, Notepad looks like the best option to fix that.

I have the same problem. Couldn't fix with NotePad. :blah:
I am sure, this is just one bug that will never be fixed.

Or maybe it will be fixed in the next Fred build, whenever that gets released.  Be patient.
who needs a signature? ;)
It's not much of an excuse for a website, but my stuff can be found here

It will be if you don't touch the ship with Fred's weapon loadout subeditor after editing with Notepad.
