so wait, can spring guns shoot full auto, or just semi?

The SMG available at Canadian Tire is automatic, but it requires 4 AA batteries and only shoots about 175 fps, but it can hose down an area good.  So where in the States can you walk in with cash and walk out with an airsoft gun? I don't feel like ordering one.
Derek Smart is his own oxymoron.

No, Canadian Tire is a hardware/appliance/sport/car store franchise.

I used to own a BB pistol, worked by compressed CO2, and fired metal balls, not plastic. I can safelly say you don´t want to be on the receiving end of one of those. There are a lot of holes in the wooden wall of my old room that can testify to it.
And i still own my  25 year old DIANA 25 pellet gun. Weighs over 10kg of pure coil spring muscle. I ate lots of birds i caught myself with it, in the woods next to my house. Blackbirds, sparrows, the ocasional pidgeon. Really tasty! ...Nham nham...

Like thousands! I don´t know about other countries, but airgun hunting is very common around here. Everybody has one or more, and the old woods around my house were always littered with hunters. I used both the airgun(with sniper telescopic sight ) and spring traps. I would lay my traps all over, then i would start making my rounds checking each one for kills. And between traps i would use the rifle. I had days where i brought over 20 birds home, after a couple hours of hunt. They are just excellent with garlick and some red wine. The only problem was i had to clean them before taking them home. And the more you catch, the more you have to clean, so i spent lots of hours just picking the feathers out.

All this has changed nowadays. The woods where i used to hunt when i was a boy are now gone,  there are roads and factories where it stood. And you now need to have a license to hunt...

Kids these days have it easy, they get to play with paintball and Airsoft rifles like that. When i was a kid, all we had was a plank of wood with a rubber band in one end, and a peg in the other, to make slings that fired small pebbles. Now look at them! M-16s, Uzis, M-4s, with laser and telescopic sights! You kids of today are so spoiled!!

*BUMP*

Got it today, one fine looking rifle. I went out a shot like 200 BBs to get started and was nailing tin cans at about 60-75 feet. Then I realized I forgot to lube the gun up before I started shooting so I went and did that but by the time I got done it was dark out. I'm gonna try shooting again tommorow and see if the lube helped to increase the range and aucuracy. I'm also planning on getting an M-16 4x20 (REAL M-16 scope) scope to mount on top.

Plastic outside with a reinforced metal core. It didn't cost $250 either.
