UK Home Stereo Speakers
At work we got in a set of speakers, and i can't for the life of me remember the name brand...it starts with a "W" and these speakers are made in England.  I remember on the back that the company has been in business since 1932.   The speaker designation is "Delta 90".  10 in. sub with a pair of tweeters, 1 in. voice box, and Polyeurethane cones.  I am wondering if anyone can help me remember the name, and then once done, i am wondering if any of you have had any dealings with this company.  I think that the Poly cones would go well with my Infinity 60's, which are also poly coned.

Searching on the internet has turned up nothing, and i am really thinking about calling work tomorrow or saturday and telling them to hold the speakers for me.  But as i have never heard of the company before, i thought i would ask for your input.

Thanks Vyper, now i know that it isn't poly like my Inifinities, but is in all actuality Kevlar.  Anyone ever deal with these, and can you tell me how they hold up to abuse....by abuse i mean really loud music in the rec room while playing pool or throwing darts.  Crunching rock, none of that rap crap....

Bulletproof speakers, hmm...

...can't think of a practical use for 'em.

I'm not worried about the kevlar itself, i am wondering about the rubber that holds it to the stamped framework....but thanks for your input anyway Bob.

They're good for attaching to a stereo and using to listen to music, I've found.

Kevlar Speakers - When Drive By Niggas Go Too Far

Anyway.... I'd imagine they'd be fairly robust, but bear in mind these are speciality speakers by a fairly special company - they're finely crafted bits of equipment.

They left me hanging for a couple of days.  I still haven't got a reply to the PMs I sent, but since I can post I will assumed that they were received.

Kevlar cones are copyright owned by B&W - If you want serious quality and good power handling, check them out:

Wharfedale are a bit of an also-ran these days, like Tannoy, but B&W and Kef are still kicking

Just FYI, I am in the business - not some poxy hifi shop on the high street either - just high quality cinemas and multiroom systems.  If want an inside opinion just ask
