My mouse has gone away. FRED crashed and the grid went away. I fixed that, but there's no mouse cursor at all when it's inside the FRED window. Anyone know how to fix that?

I had that kind of a problem with the newest FRED2 open. Are you using 3.5.5?

That one doesn't work for you? Try going back to the original 3.6.5.

Assuming you've done that, try an older 3.6 FRED, like the first FRED_r, or just the basic FRED 3.6.

Wait...post your computer specs, please.

The older FREDs make me sick because the objects are nowhere near aligned with the grid.

1.53GHz Athlon XP, 512MB RAM, Monster Sound MX200 sound card, GeForce3 Ti200 video card, 80GB Western Digital HDD, 16/4/48 DVD/CD burner.

Your only option is retail FRED, I suppose.

Retail FRED crashes in the normal Windows manner. Okay, I deleted the table files for the Deimos mission, but it still thinks they are there. I'm getting weird errors when starting FRED 3.5.5 that never came up until I installed said mission.

Your specs seem normal...wierd...

I suspect you've still got a rogue table somewhere. Check your main FS2 Folder. If that doesn't work rename Data to Data-OLD and try running FRED again.

I reinstalled FS2 into a different folder and FRED works now.
