Hey guys!
Look, I just wanted to say thanks to all the SCP gurus. Goober5000, bobboau, Lightspeed, Lightspeed, Dabrain, WMCoolMon, Taylor, Raa, Phreak, _argv-1 and a milllion others who I probably can't remember or showed up too late to know.
Playing the SCP has been like playing Freespace 2 the way I imagined it. like playing I-war 2 the way I imagined it looking. And all you guys don't get a cent, and yet you still keep making it better and better....and the way things are going, I imagine someday FS2Open will be the absolute best space sim in gaming history. Not for love of profit, not for love of the company, but simply because you guys loved the game.
I love the game. And all the more, I love the game you guys have made it to be.
If I were a woman with big tits, I'd **** you all. But I'm not, so I suppose that won't go down to well, lol. (is there a profanity filter here? if so, I'm ****ed.)
So, I say thanks.
P.S. You wouldn't imagine how hard it was to find a working copy of FS2 despite my love of FS1. And you couldn't imagine how lucky I felt when I found a classmate had a copy (and the for the very very nice licensing policy, I thank volition. In a time of scrooges, you guys are visionaries, seeing the potential that lies withing a game beyond it's profit margin is a talent in itself)
P.P.S. For the price of that copy of FS2, I gave up a copy if Independence War 2 AND a copy of System Shock 2 - and yet I don't feel rippped off. Since System Shock 2 still stands high in my list of greatest games ever made, and I don't feel ripped off, that tells you how great I think you guys are.
