Allows ingame joining?

Was looking through the different catagories under list type (experimental) and found this, (allows ingame joining)
Can anyone explain to me what this feature is for?

I'd imagine for the multiplayer games. Joining in-game currently crashes any games afaik.

It's extremely unreliable, but it did sort of work in some cases.
