Cannot Place Jumpnodes

Hey all, for the past couple of months, I have been unable to place jumpnodes on FRED2.   It simply are not on the list of placeable things.  I've even tried from the list in ship editor tab, but to no avail.

Any help?

Are you using retail FRED2? The unpatched FRED2 has a bug where it won't display the Jump Node. The simple fix is to patch FS2 to the latest version (1.02 I think).

Hmm....that's what I get for uninstalling FS, the forgetting to update it when I installed it once more.  Stupid me.

Right-click, new object, jump node.

It's there, you just have to know where to go ;)

Or just patch it, obviously....
Any fool can pull a trigger...

1.20 is latest patch :)
1.02 wasn't released
Older patch than 1.20 was 1.01, it fixed Win95 CD detection problem

Ah yes that old bug.

Makes me remeber the gd old days when I had a comp so slow on multiplayer i would take 2 minutes to load and when i loaded i would see comments about me having a '086...'
