I've got both KotOR and KotOR 2, and have an 'issue'.  Tech support is useless, so I wonder If anone here can help:

Eveyone knows how broken the Khoonda Plains area on KotOR 2 is, but now the Dantooine "Grove" region of KotOR 1 is showing the same kind of slowdown, only worse.  It's completely unplayable.

Tech support say it shouldn't happen.  As if that helps.

(Also, (non tech stuff) I know that Kreia can 'upgrade' the [Payer's Name] crystal, but I've never managed to get it beyond the "glowing brightly" stage.  Does anyone know how to get it higher than this?)

Cheers for whatever you say.

I don't know much about this issue, but if you have problem beating a part in KotOR I, you can ask me. ;)

I already announced my retirement twice, yet here I am. If I bring up that topic again, don't believe a word.

Not sure about the Tech stuff, but I can help you a tad with KOTOR2 Kreia stuff.

The player crystal goes in your lightsabar which you can make later on in the game. It has a set of bonuses that are effected by your level and stats. Whenever you go up a level you should take it out of the lightsabar and go talk with Kreia about it again to update it.

I don't think it does anything before getting a lightsabar though. ;)

Oh i had this problem, you jsut apply this line under [graphic options] Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1 in the swKOTOR.ini file, do the same for the swkotor2.ini should look like this;

[Graphics Options]
Disable Vertex Buffer Objects=1
V-Sync=0
Anisotropy=1
Frame Buffer=1
Anti Aliasing=0
Texture Quality=2
Grass=1
Soft Shadows=0
Shadows=1
Brightness=57
EnableHardwareMouse=1
FullScreen=1
AllowSoftShadows=1
RefreshRate=60
Width=800
Height=600
Emitters=1

That worked for me.
