Seriously, from what I saw in the Ferrium Forum 'post your specs' survey, our machines can run FreeSpace Open very well, in terms of Frames per second.
Or I could ask what you call a low-end?

Yea i was thinking about that, are there even ANY cut scenes in Port?  I dont think there are.....  Interesting.

Oh and BTW, you guys on this board are soooo funny, i mean i started a thread on Freespace 1 resolution, and you guys are arguin over whats better, i mean, well its kinda funny.

As for 1 verses 2, yes 1 has a feel that port cannot replicate, i mean ive only played like 20 mins of it, but Freespace 1 has something in it that I cant put my finger on, that cant re replicated in port.  Its that simple.  They are ALMOST the same, but Freespace 1 is better in this category, now as for resolution, DUH its gunna be better, but in todays society, we are used to playing games in 1600x1200, that was unheard of back even 5 years, which isnt too far back.  So The graphics are the same, if both 1 and 2 both had 1024x768 resolution, i would vote freespace 1 for feel and gameplay, freespace 2 for storyline, and BOTH for being the BEST SPACE SIM EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The port has exactly the same cutscenes that the original has IIRC. If you're running FS2_Open you have to get the avi versions in the same way as you have to for FS2.
