[Dexter voice] It is completed! [/Dexter voice]

4 engines, loads of death-dealing turrets and 2 fighterbays. I maby overdid it with the BFGreen as the main beam, hte LRBGreen might be a better choice but I was too lazy to re-upload the zip becouse of a simple table change that isn't realyl a bug.

Up for grabs at hades Combine (where else!)

Now for that miner and the Demon.. ;7

That looks real dramatic 'n' all but I can't make out much of the actual ship

You make great screenshots...but, as a way to show off the model, that's not very good. Please give us a clean render :)

Keeping in mind that I'm not much for ship recognition in Freespace, but I really can't tell that there's any difference between this and the original, except the second fighterbay (which is pants).

I LOVE IT, although it's like...not really a destroyer anymore...it could now be considered a (light) Carrier class (GTCa Orion class). I mean, this thing has to have DOUBLE the fighter capacity of a standard Orion.

It's amazing, and doesn't necessarily have to be "after" the original Orion in chronology --- this ship could easily fit anywhere in the FreeSpace 2 universe right now.

@Mik - if you can't see any difference except hte other fighterbay then you're blind.
you want comparison pics?

@Gregster2k - it is bigger and has 2 hangarbays but that doesn't mean it has double the fightercapacity. More - yes, but double? Hardly.
More internal volume has been taken for aditional engines, armor and weapons, so I would roughly estimate that it can carry 180-200 craft.

Needs better textures. Grey, metallic ones.

I agree. Model looks cool though, altho something about it makes it seem a little too chunky at the back...maybe make the nose thing larger to balance it out?

Um. Yes.

See, I'm not blind, I just have no clue what the stock Orion looked like: I hate the thing, so I don't pay much attention to it.

Anyone who knows me, will tell you I don't know dick about Freespace. I just make stuff for it.
