I posted this question at the VBB, but since the specialists also hang out here, I figured this might be the best place to ask.
I have a large ship (destroyer) modeled as
one object. And fitting the first Material/bitmap, using
Unwrap UVW, to the center sides of the ship went fine.
But I can't figure out how to assign a different material/bitmap to other faces without also changing material/bitmap on the faces that are done in the first material/bitmap.
If you know what to do please take time to try explaining this.
I've spent
hours searching and reading through the help features in Max, but to no awail. The tutorial only explains the use of
Unwrap UVW with
one material on the model/object.
