That took forever to load on this stupid 56k connection but was worth it; the only problems I can see is that the destroyer is a bit too bright (play with the light settings) and the background nebulas should be a tad less dense. ;)

Took forever on my cable modem (well, compared to a 56 it was fast.. meh), I suppose thats GS for ya, not their fault tho...

My cable connection has been dead for the last two days so I have been stuck on a 56k. (and a crappy one at that, it runs through the IMF servers which are really slow) If they don't have it up by tomorrow I'll um...um...get my dad to shout at them! :D (this type of long downtime happened once before, and he really got furious at the cable guys over the phone :D)

How about comments on the render instead of comments on your modem and how long it took to load?
Rendered in 3DE and all effects, backrounds, lighting, etc. done in Photoshop 6. I'm trying to maybe add some lightning behind the Haydon but that's not coming out so well. Also maybe adding a sun in, although I don't think it's actually necessary. I'll see.

Comments on the nameplate? I just made that for the campaign...lookie.
Wash: This landing's gonna get pretty interesting.
Mal: Define "interesting".
Wash: *shrug* "Oh God, oh God, we're all gonna die"?
Mal: This is the captain. We have a little problem with our entry sequence, so we may experience some slight turbulence and then... explode.

Could look cooler with engine glows to make it look like it's moving. :)

its good.. but I hope you want comments on the render and not the ship model... cause all that really was done was replace one texture...

but other then the fact that its a little too close to a sun... not bad
