Personally, I would likely do so, but I am strapped for cash.

Where's the "I stopped playing FS about 2 years ago and the SCP won't run on my laptop" option?

Or the "I am a poor student and can't/don't like spending my money on the internet"

or the "This poll is worthless because it's a) illegal to make money off the SCP, and b) being done by the community in it's spare time and not meant to be something for profit"

How about the "Having to pay for it somehow makes it less significant" option?

or the "While we appreciate that the coders do put so much work into it, there's too many issues with trying to collect compensation for it to be worthwhile" option?

All of those fall under the last option.  Also, you are not obligated to vote.
Ahh, the power of IFs.

Also, whomever voted for "likely not" needs to speak up and take the highly anticipated stoning like a man/woman.
Unless whomever's post count is above 1,000.  Then he/she would have the right to say that.

If--and this is a big If--If it were to come out as an official upgrade/expansion pack, professionally polished with guaranteed support, then hell yes I'd buy it. I recall Valve doing something like that for the original Half Life.
As it stands, however, I'd rather be a contributor and a critic, to help things move along and improve, than a passive consumer. That's why I like the SCP and FSU. :)

Hmm...this poll is a little confusing as it relates to me. :p

Assuming I wasn't working on it, possibly $10 or so as a monthly fee. If I was, I'd probably try to work out a deal whereby I do stuff, but get free subscription to the game.

Seeing as how at least four of the people who've replied have contributed to it via art in some way or another, it's a little grey.

That, and all the TCs are using media from other game universes, and for it to be fully legal you'd need the agreement of every single person who'd contributed media. Considering the number of people that might include, it'd be a real pain.

AFAIK there has not been a totally original TC that could release the art on its own without being vulnerable to legal infringement.
