Into the Halls of Valhalla is not proceeding as planned. I promised to release ITHOV in autumn. I do not search for excuses, because I simply did not have mood to open FRED and make missions which follow a definite storyline. This is the main reason why ITHOV got richer with two, not-previously-planned missions. The idea for both of these missions came spontantly while making the mission, thus making it easier for me to FRED without following a specific outline, on which any change would affect the plotline. The current status is that I have two missions to FRED: The typical "kill the big monster mission" and an outro mission. What will probably not delay ITHOV any longer is the fact that I do not plan these missions to be overly complicated, or have a hell amount of messages. I am starting to hate the send-message-list SEXP.
Because I know myself, I would not even dare say ITHOV will be completed shortly. I know I would not have the mood to FRED the two missions in the next week or so. But to have something to hasten me is that I am now officially announcing the release date: 21st March, 2006. I estimate that I finish the remaining two missions by January and spend one and a half months making the campaign file, testing, testing, testing and testing. It is also this phase when I ask my grammar checkers to check all brieifngs and messages. I can only hope I do not underestimate the time required to do this.
I will probably post some screenshots either here or at the ITHOV forums, a place I have not checked for at least three months.
