Hello there.
I finally got Freespace and Freespace 2 and I've been reading a lot of stuff but there's so much that I'm really confused and need some serious help.
1. What do I need to get Freespace 2 running at it's max? I've read about registry edits and some other stuff. Could someone tell me what is recomeneded after a clean install of Freespace 2? I got the 3cd version. I'm not looking for any additional mods. Just anything the improves the actual game since i've never played it before.
2. Freespace 1 only runs at 640 res. Now I've come accross a mod that lets you play Freespace 1 in the freespace 2 engine. Should I use that? Is that stable? And there are also lots of other addons for that mod. Which should I use and which should I not use?
If anyone could provide me with a small tutorial on how to get started that would be great. I really want to get started as this seems to be a great game but I would like to get the max out of it.
