FS1 had a much different atmosphere that FS2 cannot emulate.

Run it in 640x480 with an all-green HUD. It works suprisingly well even with FS2.

Also, has anyone extracted those planets? FSPort would like them.  :nod:

i didn't know there were different versions of the DVD with the planets and afterburner trails! i have an AMD system and it works fine for me.

to Raa and Turey:

do you remember what version of fs1 came with your DVD? maybe that has something to do with it. v1.06 was on mine.

Hmmmm, ive still got a pentium 3......
but not the dvd version of fs1, so instead i made myself dvd version of fs2...

Anyway so what exactly is different in this "special OEM" version? and could someone possibly intergrate the modified files with the normal version of FS1 and achieve the same results?
