I know it needs work, but I don't think it's that bad for a first attempt.  Now if only I could figure out how to do lense flare in TS3.1 ...

Not bad  
Check out www.flamingpear.com  The tools there are great for making renders  
P.S. Lens flares are done by placing local lights and then you can set their properties in the Render Options window

Top Gun,

I know where it is in TS5 (too bad I didn't want to spring the $300+ cash required to buy it and my evaluation time is up on it) but I can't find it in TS3, where is it?

Oh yeah, thanx for the info on the plugins.

the lightning is really well done (that's just i prefer black space to blue space)
