I downloaded a bunch of his models from freespacemods.net and i've been running into problems with just about all of them. mostly missing textures, like the orion mk2 has a big hole in the top of the 2nd launch bay and along the sides of the ship, all of the turret bases are missing and the engine is missing. This is showing in fred and fs2. The archangel model locks up fs2 when it shoots something with the ion cannon and tbh i can't figure out why. I donno if I'm missing a file or what not but I would love to be able to use his ships if someone knows or has a fix for them.  I found the posts with download links to hades combine but it appears the site is dead.  If anyone could give me a hand here I'd be much appreciative!

It's because they're TrashMan's ships. TrashMan is infamous for being a little "weird" (for lack of a better word) sometimes. In fact, he is currently banned/monkeyed.

Huh? I never had a problem with TrashMan's ships.
They all worked wonderfully.
Granted, I DO reskin them all. Also, I always do a check in PCS2 before I use any ship, just in case.

i dug up another post that has a vp with all of the models in them hes done but no tables, cept the orion mk2. i dropped in the mk2.pof and the tables for it and it works. guess freespacemods.net has some incomplete files or something. i donnno... its working with that pack atleast.

It's not freespacemods, we just stick the stuff he posted onto there. It's not us. We didn't make it.

lol i didn't mean to imply that. a bajillion apologies. I think that vp pack has all of the missing textures for all the models that are missing... the GTI Whitehall for one, the one on the site is missing textures along the inside of the docking ports and around the command and control center I'm guessing that big tower looking thing is. It all seems to be there in the vp pack so just gotta find some tables and all will be good =D

You can easily fix them, if you just use ModelView or PCS. TrashMan's ships are known to be slightly buggy anyway (infamously, the GTBC Blade caused three or something threads to pop up when it was uploaded to HC)

it was a missing texture issue. the models on fsmods don't have all of the necessary textures.

Open with PCS2, change the missing texture to whatever.

no i mean the actual texture maps were not included. The models were calling for the right ones but they didn't exist =p

oh no i don't need it anymore. i found a vp pack that he made with all of his models (cept the orion mk2) and their textures but no tables. so i just combined them =p all is working
