Assuming I'm a clueless n00b who knows nothing of models etc, what do I need to do to adjust the thrusters on models?  Is it settings in tables?  If someone wants to let me know how it works I'll get to work making the thrusters match the actual thrusters a bit better.  Now that I've noticed, every time I see a Poseiden it annoys me.   I'd like to see if I can get more attractive thrusters and minimise the clipping problems with the thrusterglow, if possible.

To edit the size of the glows (2D thrusters) you need to use a POF editor program, you can try with PCS, open the .pof model, and go to the "Engines" tab, and modify the "Radius" field for the one you desire.

Woo.  How do I change the size and number of the 'trail' parts?  For instance, on the Fenris they've done a good job of making one big thruster that fills the hole, and on things like Triton they've nicely positioned several mid-sized ones to blend together nicely.  Hmm, I guess I'll have to grab some screenshots to shot what I mean, but I'll grab PCS and see what I can do.

That's pretty much all done from PCS. Just fiddle about with the number and radius of the thrusters util you get the effect you want.

Is there a newer version of PCS than the one on sourceforge, ie 1.3 from 2004?

EDIT - PS, is there a way to have the render window show something other than an untextured, unlit model?  I was hoping for some feedback on the engine position coords...

Kazan posted a (minor) update a little back but I don't think I have a link to it. A search should turn it up though.

(I'm talking about PCS 1 not the alpha version of PCS 2 that is also floating about).
