I've been trying to install Red Hat Linux 6.1 on a system, but X-windows doesn't seem to work. I select a KDE Install package and install it, but I still get the text-based Linux shell. I was wondering if the reason for this might be the video card isn't detected during the installation. Can anyone help?

Kazan might be able to help you, he's been messing around with Linux for a while now.

Hmm...I replaced the video card, so I guess that was the problem...now, how do I use the dos emulator (preferably X-dos) included with it? Can it run Windows? Or is there some other program that can emulate windows for free?
A lot of the programs (and games   ) on my computer require Windows. I think that's it for now...

u cannot emmulate windows on linux, it is not possible, linux is linux and windows is windows, do not confuse xwindows as a windows emulator, or anything, they are completly seperate

I beg to differ: Win4Lin.
I'd just rather know if I can do it for free rather than purchasing W4L.
