I would probably have more sympathy if I had even heard of Prey before this...

You been hiding under a rock, son? We even had a thread in the forums here about the demo and how awesome it was.

One comment about portals and their relation to valve/prey. HL1 had portal technology, you just couldn't really see where you were going, as it were. In fact it was rather key to the plot. OP4 took it a stage further with far greater use of existing portals and puzzles.

Surely even Doom had portal technology, if we stretch the definition far enough?

Re: It's almost unfair...
It certainly looks cool and fun, but to me it just seems like a fancy and clever way of using teleporters (which many, many games past have had), but letting the player's control their placement. My argument will be that they both ripped off the teleporters from Doom 1.  :p
I am a revolutionary.

The revolutionary thing about Prey's portals was that you could see where you were going.

could do that in Serious Sam, though........ unless you mean the original concept.

Heh, the implentation is good, but the idea actually reminds me of a RoadRunner cartoon and the famous move-able train tunnels :)
