Well there hello to you all out hope you have had a pleasant summer I sure have havent had so much time for FREDING though, but anyway I am almost done with my campaign The Rebellion in Beta Cygni its 12 mission Campaign (Not a big one I know but I thougth that I should start small and get something released), So I was just wondering what the most important little pices to rember and was hoping to get some pointer from all of you experienced FREDers.

Kinda need to get this fixed incase something happends with my Freespace files when I get my new computer in a week or so (Core 2 Duo aaaaaaaahhhhh)

Ok so here is what I have done:

• Checked all the Briefing, Command briefings, Debriefings and ingame vhat with the Grammar and Spell checker in MS Word 2003
• Will Create a .zip with a .vp file in it
• Given Credit For all the ships I have used in the Credits
• Play the campaign a few times to try and Iron out the last few bugs

I was hoping that some other people migth have some suggestions aswell.

Also another question should I ask for Beta Testers or just Release it here and ask people to report bugs.......

Kara's FRED mistakes is a good reference. On another note, before I released Rogue Ep. 1, I asked for some testers to run through the campaign a few times as well, and they managed to pick out dozens of bugs and problems that I wouldn't have noticed myself. The problem with testing the campaign yourself is that you know the workings of your missions, so very little is a surprise to you. Testers, on the other hand, are completely new to the missions, and they can play through the mission differently than you might have and spot whatever bugs may arise through that.

In addition to my common mistakes guide I suggest you get a copy of this as there is a nice checklist of things you need to do to polish a mission.
