Oigh vey! Enough with the circumcision!
my sentiment EXACTLY .. ENOUGH with it, it should be illegal as it is a crime!

Why on Earth do you have such a vendetta against it?

because it's GENITAL MUTILATION and it's routinely performed on infants in america

Some horrible experience as a child?

yeah... like 66% of the nerves of my penis being removed?  Not to mention 50% of the mobile skin, 100% of the protection of the glans .. i could go on - but it's easier just to go to http://www.noharmm.org/advantage.htm (warning: ANNOYING java menubuttons) and http://www.noharmm.org/snip.htm to see how "small" this "snip" is.

neither do i, but that doesn't mean it's not genital mutilation.

I have some additional insight on this topic, but i doubt you want to hear about that because it gets far too personal

there are methods for the partial reversal of circumcision

you cannot grow back the nerves, frenulum, special immune system cells, ridged band; but the normal skin and mucosal skin* can be regrown over the period of years by stimulating skin growth via gentle tension - this restores MOST of the mechanical functioning and the protection of the glans - the callousing of the glans goes away (dekeratinization) as the protection is restored - the thiner skin allows the remaining nerves more sensativity.

* normal skin = outside skin, just like the rest of the skin of your penis, mucosal skin which is skin like the inside of the mouth, natural inside of the foreskin, inner side of the eyelid, etc - it's "moist" skin

Nobody would like having part of their willy chopped off. End of debate.

Quoted. For. Truth.

if you want to voluntarily do that to yourself as an adult, be my ****ing guest - it's your body.  It was done to me as an infant, IE without my consent, it's not medically neccesary - and goes against my wishes.  It's genital mutilation just like chopping off a little girls clitoral hood is*

* or one lady who wrote a book and hangs out on the foreskin restoration mailing list - she was born in kansas in the 1950s - they chopped off her labia, clitoris and clitoral hood.

Quoted for even greater truth.
Spoon - I stand in awe by your flawless fredding. Truely, never before have I witnessed such magnificant display of beamz.
Axem -  I don't know what I'll do with my life now. Maybe I'll become a Nun, or take up Macrame. But where ever I go... I will remember you!
Axem - Sorry to post again when I said I was leaving for good, but something was nagging me. I don't want to say it in a way that shames the campaign but I think we can all agree it is actually.. incomplete. It is missing... Voice Acting.
Quanto - I for one would love to lend my beautiful singing voice into this wholesome project.
Nuclear1 - I want a duet.
AndrewofDoom - Make it a trio!

Re: When will news papers learn to vet their science articles?
A) my parents were misinformed by doctors, so they cannot really carry the fault for acting on what they believed to be accurate information
B) people have sued the doctors before, and won

my purposes here is to END THE PRACTICE.  I can only deal with the fact it's been done to me, I can try and prevent it from being done to others though.

what part of that are you incapable of comprehending?

What you're displaying is a well observed tendancy to defend what has been done to you so that you don't have to think about it and don't have to acknowledge that something wrong has been done to your penis - somehow it damages some men's fragile egos to admit that part of their wang has been cut off, and for some other men it's an entire "men aren't supposed to complain about their bodies" gender stereotype.  Whatever it is in your case, it's your problem, not mine; you deal with it and stop trying to attack that which you do not wish to think about.

Someone has to try and save future generations of american men from having a healthy part of their dick cut off.

I'm sure they put you in jail if you pay too much attention to little boys willys.

Doubt you're wife would be impressed either.

oh yes, imply i'm a pederast because i don't think it's acceptable to cut little boys wangs - that's REALLY going to further your argument.

I'm not the one TINKERING with the genitals of children - i'm the one trying to stop this.  It is already illegal to tinker with the genitals of little girls.

she'd be even less impressed with your argumentum ad hominem.  my previous post was merely a statement upon the psychological grounding of your behavior - you just proved my point with your backhanded insult

Re: When will news papers learn to vet their science articles?
This summer we've had two top trends; Kazan repeatedly posting similar topics and people targeting Kazan with flamebaits and insults. You know what. I'm equally tired of seeing both.

Now, here's the tip of the day. Do you want Kazan to stop posting these topics? Well aren't you a lucky one, here's how.
- Don't post to the topic.
- The topic will die.
- Kazan will get the hint. If he doesn't, admins will help him.

When you post flamebaits and insults aimed at Kazan, you're hurting yourself more than Kazan. But you might get lucky and Kazan will take your bait, in which case the topic will be locked. Like this one. Kazan, drop the subject, your audience is not very receptive.
