Didn`t FS1 come with its own nebula?
I can`t seem to find any in the vps.
“I am mighty!  I have a glow you cannot see.  I have a heart as big as the moon!  As warm as bath water!  We are superheroes, men; we don't have time to be charming!  The boots of evil are made for walkin'!  We're watching the big picture friend!  We know the score!  We are a public service, not glamour boys! Yeah! Not captains of industry, not makers of things, keep your vulgar monies! We are a justice sandwich, no toppings necessary. Living rooms of America, do you catch my drift? Do you dig?”- The Tick

That's cause the FS1 nebulae were horrible. Playing with FS2 LS's nebulae was very nice.  :nod:

Yes, FS1 came with its own nebula, and no, the nebulas were pretty, not horrible.  They're still in the FS2 VPs, but the code to display them is disabled in FSO.  Re-enabling them is on my list.

FS1 was more of an arcade game than FS2, the nebulas, for their purpose, are very nice

What?  If anything, FS1's lower secondary capacity made it LESS arcadey.

You can see what the FS1 nebulae looked like by going HERE and looking at the FS1 ships.  In the images displayed you'll see the nebulae in the background.

In FS2 the secondary capacity in the hightech fighters is just ridiculous.

Give me a D-Advanced (more subsys damage, less hull damage) and a Sath without the Supercap and Big Damage flags and I'll carve one in half for you too.

Well, some people would have enough free time to shoot the Sath in the back with training lasers, just like some people have enough time to shoot the Hades in the engine for a few hours...

Gimme some engine power and I'd move the Colossus out of the way. :)
<On "Their Finest Hour">
The GTVA sure knows how to launch feint attacks. You have the Colossus with her engines shut off, her battle group (all three ships) who apparently had problems with their weapon reactors, and a motley crew of fighters. No wonder the Bastion's escorts got decimated.

I would have had the Colossus moving to flank the Sath in that mission. It doesn't make sense leaving her there to get pounded. Not that the mission script is very good. I mean, even if you take out all four beam cannons and the forward flak on the Sath, the Colossus still acts like she's getting raped by the Sath, even when taking no damage. I mean, WTF! What was :v: thinking when they wrote this?

Woah, wait a minute.... There were nebulas in freespace 1?  I played through retail multiple times, and never saw any nebulas...  Which nebulas, the ones you fly through or background nebulas?
