I have been learning to fred and have discovered it is quite easy to do....the problem i have ran into is trying to use a ship or a weapon and im getting a weapon or ship does not exist type of bug. not sure why either, i have FS2 loaded over the retail version and all of the updates etc.....but it will not work. Am I missing an update or a set of files?

So you're using a regular ship (not a MOD) but you still get the bug? What is the exact problem?

You've 3.6.7 and the corresponding VPs right? That texture was missed out of the 3.6.7 VPs IIRC.

Yet another reason to update to 3.6.9 RC 7

If you read the message that pops up, it tells you how to fix it

tried to fix it like it says, but it wont let me do it.....again, i think i am missing a file

You have to do it in the properties of a shortcut, not the main program's icon. You're not missing any files there.

this is what i put in the target windo and i get  an error msg

what am i doing wrong here?

You're going to laugh or groan when you read this: put a space between ".exe" and "-fredhtl".
