No it's just a tech view of one of the turrets that are going on a ship I'm making.  And no...it probably won't be in fs2 or iwar2 either since the entire ship will be over 150,000 polys

Iwar2 can have ships up to 300,000 polys.

hem, someone said in the iwar2 forum a submodel of a ship could use only 450 polys, and each ship could use only 3 submodels... hard to believe, but I can't see why he would say that if it wasn't true.

No, each subobject cannot be more than 1000 polys, but you can join multiple subobjects together.

like i said it wont be in iwar2 either the dc-12 turret itself is over 3000 and the dc-24 is over 6000 and the ship its self w/o turrets is over 150,000 and it has many turrets dunno how many I want to put on it yet
