Err... This is probably a really stupid question, but where can I get the interface.tbl? I ran fs2_open_3_6_9_debug, and I got something about not being able to find the interface.tbl. Where can I get the interface.tbl? Without it, all the interface is, well, not there... Help?

Looking at the debug spew without knowing what exactly it means is not a good idea. If you're not careful, you'll become convinced that your computer is the memory-leaking, bitmap-dropping, table-missing spawn of satan.

Or in other words, the error you're referring to is almost certainly harmless. interface.tbl is used exclusively by the lab (F3 at the mains creem) and storybook. If you're experiencing problems with any other part of the interface, it's probably something different. Thanks for giving the debug build a shot first, though.

Can you describe or (preferably) post screenshots of the problem you're experiecing?

It's still nowhere near complete, though. With some clever scripting you could maybe use the state as a placeholder for a custom-built storybook, by tossing in a trigger at the command briefing state that would instantly change states to the storybook state if appropriate. Then set up function to display the text, do the buttons, et al. It's one of the few interface screens that should be able to be made completely functional with scripting, as the concept is simple enough.

It would be a better solution, than an external fiction viewer (made in Flash). Each chapter is password protected.
