TBP 3.4: call for beta testers
I'm posting this ahead of time because I see this forum getting quieter day by day and I want to catch the last few diehard fans who still visit this forum before they too disappear. If you're interested in beta testing the final release of TBP please get in touch with me at this address:

[email protected]

Please only apply if you're willing to put in some serious hours into testing and report back with useful error reports. Please don't reply if you're just interested in getting the release a week early. We don't have a release date as of yet. If I could give an ambiguous estimate it would be "reasonably soon".
Be warned: This site's admins stole 100s of hours of my work. They will do it to you.

Re: TBP 3.4: call for beta testers
Well, normally I'd be quite interested, but we're moving in the next few days, and I can't devote myself to testing something like this right now.  However, if it looks like I'll have a bit more free time after the move, and you still need testers, I'll be glad to help out.  I still check in to this forum every few days.

Re: TBP 3.4: call for beta testers
It is the last month of summer allot of people are doing the summer thing.  I think once it gets cooler and grayer more people will be around.   I have enough drive space for the last beta version of TBP,  it is hard to believe after all these years it will finally be comming to a finish point with the core and just mission building the priority/luxury.  I can put 1-2 hours a night 4 days a week.

Re: TBP 3.4: call for beta testers
Hi,
Got my hands on the 3.3 release about 2mths ago, been playing it ever since, just wanted to say thanks for making such a  fantastic  game, keep up the great work!! I'd be interested in beta testing and putting in the required hours is not a problem. I have some (limited) experience in fredding and testing missions for other games.  However I have never done beta testing for an entire game before, whats required? I dont want to waste your time or mine if I dont have the necessary skills or experience.  If I can be of use I'd be glad to help.  :)

Although I'm not a member of the team all that is generally required is to play and spot/report problems. If you can FRED opening up the mission and saying exactly what the problem is can be helpful but that's not always a requirement.
Karajorma's Freespace FAQ. It's almost like asking me yourself.

Re: TBP 3.4: call for beta testers
I`m willing to give beta testing a shot if you really want or need me. I will have a couple hours a night, and i`m an avid b5 fan.

(edit) I didn`t think I had enough time to be of any real help, but its alright, i`m not offended.  ;)  carry on.  :)

I finally got all 5 seasons of b5... Now I can watch them in order at my own pace..

Re: TBP 3.4: call for beta testers
I can do maybe 5 or 6 hours a week, maybe more. If that's enough to help let me know otherwise no worries.

Me too! ;-) I'm an FS2 newbie, but have a strong background on Linux / Unix and I might be able to put in a couple of hours too if help is required. Thanks to all the team for creating such a thing as TBP to begin with, I've been dreaming of being able to climb into that star fury for years. I'm still amazed it took me so many years to find out about FS2.

cheers, hoover
